Does anyone else love filling up their free time with a good podcast? If you’re like me, these podcasts usually talk about some aspect of fitness and nutrition. There is nothing I look forward to more on a long drive, or doing chores around the house than putting on a good podcast. If you’re a forever learner like myself, these podcasts bring knowledge and insights to the table that you never would have thought of. Now that my little spiel is done, here is my list of current favorite health and fitness podcasts.
The Not So Fit Couple
Looking for a good laugh and endless fitness knowledge? Lucy Davis and Ben Haldon are your go-to. I love the dynamic between these two! Lucy and Ben are not only couple goals but they constantly make me laugh and have great insights on all things hybrid training, lifting, running and so much more. They are also trainers themselves and compete in Hyrox competitions and run ultras and marathons.
The Genius Life
In summary, The Genius Life discusses everyday lifestyle, dietary, and fitness changes we can make to maximize our life and mental capacity. Max has amazing guests who break down the burning current topics in the fitness and food industry. I love Max so much that I went ahead and bought his book. In it, he talks about the best nutrition practices to prevent dementia and increase cognitive function, an absolute must-read in my opinion.
The Nick Bare Podcast
Being a beginner in the whole hybrid training world I found Nick to be extremely informative. He breaks down complex nutrition and fitness topics and makes them so easy to digest. I love his approach to hybrid training and admire the many athletic feats he’s been able to accomplish, challenging himself daily. If you need to be inspired I would highly recommend giving Nick a listen.
SwimStrong Dryland Podcast
If you didn’t know, I’m a swim coach, and this podcast is a must-listen if you are one too! But honestly, for anyone interested in the swimming world and joining that community I highly recommend this gem. This podcast highlights the swim community in a way I’ve never seen before. There are countless interviews with coaches, swimmers, and professionals in the sport. It’s a great way to find inspiration before you hit the pool!
